I have been training with Heather for just under 3 years. What started as a journey to get just get fit has resulted in me achieving sporting successes which I would not have considered and dropping a couple of dress sizes. This has been possible due to Heathers varied programs, encouragement, commitment to me as a client/friend and unwavering belief that I can do it when I doubt myself. It’s great to have a trainer who not only considers the physical side but also balancing a hectic lifestyle, the emotional ups and downs that come with that with healthy eating and ideas to make it work. Our next adventure is the Three Peaks Challenge (yet another experience I would not have taken part in before) and further changed to my training programme which keeps it fresh and interesting.
The circumstances by which I came to start a programme of training with Heather is not a route I would not advocate but the journey to fitness and a healthy lifestyle I would recommend to anyone.
After years of inactivity and suffering a serious health event it was recommended that I undertake a short course of rehabilitation. Someone suggested that Heather would be the ideal choice due to her understanding of my conditions.
At the start of the course I had difficulty with my balance, muscle weakness and restricted cardiac efficiency. After an initial coaching session she asked me to complete a series of questions and we started to form a picture of my situation, my goals and to establish an understanding of what I wanted achieve. Heather then designed a programme specific to me to help me achieve these ambitions.
The impact of the this first programme was nothing but amazing and after two years Heather continues to be my coach and I have achieved a level health, fitness and weight management that I have not achieved previously at any point in my life, I have never felt stronger or healthier and at an age when most would give up I have started running something I never imagined.
The results I have achieved to date are largely due to Heather’s perfect combination of diverse training methods, individualised exercise programs & challenging yet achievable goal setting. Her professionalism, extensive knowledge and enthusiastic commitment to her work and ultimately her clients, provides the perfect scenario for success and sets the foundations for anyone to achieve a new healthier lifestyle.
Heather is an outstanding master of her craft; incredibly perceptive with a treasure trove of knowledge on health, fitness, nutrition and a passion for encouraging and participation in running.
Heather is passionate about fitness and it shows through the energy and enthusiasm she brings to every session. Her easy going, friendly personality creates a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. She makes each workout challenging, creative and most importantly, fun! She motivates me to push past my perceived limits to get results. I have incredible energy, my balance and flexibility have improved immensely and I’ve got some great new muscles!

Before I started in March 2016, I weighed 12 stone and my Measurements were: Belly button 41 inches, hip 42 inches, right arm 13 inches, right leg 19 inches and chest 42 ½ inches. I was eating the wrong foods such as cakes, biscuits, chocolates. I was failrly fit, as I was attending the gym 4 times a week doing Spin, Body Pump, Pilates, Balance but I wasn’t varying my classes/exercises.
I decided to go ahead with Heathers programme for the 1 to 1 tailor made training, the nutritional advice and for help with my motivation. It’s been a very enjoyable experience having personal training with Heather. The support and encouragement has been fantastic. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to think about what exercises to do, as Heather did that for me and made sure I was doing them properly. She was very patient with me, as she frequently had to repeat instructions of how to do an exercise, as I was often getting it wrong. On the nutrition side of things, when I wasn’t losing enough weight, she advised me on what foods to cut out of my diet. Heather was always reliable and kept to time with her appointments. She has a great online booking system, which is easy to use.
I now weigh 9 stone 5lb and my measurements are Belly button, 33 ½ inches, hip 35 ½ inches, right arm 11 inches, right leg 17 inches and chest 34 inches. I can now wear nice clothes and have received lots of compliments from people. It has been a thoroughly worthwhile investment. It has totally changed my eating habits and I won’t be going back to what I was eating before. I am now wheat free, dairy free and fairly sugar free. I also am varying my exercise regime, so my body doesn’t get used to the same thing and get stuck in a rut.
